2019 Challenger SRT Hellcat lineup: more horses, expanded technologies and more features. From 717 to 797 horsepower, Dodge is delivering the most powerful Challenger SRT Hellcat lineup ever. Both a manual and automatic transmission are available to handle the immense horsepower and torque output.
After the Challenger began as a 2008 model. Dodge added the Hellcat for 2015, and the Demon came out as an 2018 model. "For '19 we're going to do a Redeye. It's a Hellcat that's been possessed by a Demon," said Steve Beahm, head of Passenger Car Brands-Dodge, SRT, Chrysler, and Fiat for FCA North America.
The Challenger SRT 392 ($51,290 to start) is a sweet ride, but the same 485-hp V-8 is available on the R/T Scat Pack model for about $11,000 less. The Hellcat, with its 707 ponies of supercharged fury, starts at $65,290.
Now, a mere clear-eyed Challenger SRT Hellcat gets a 10-horse boost for 2019 to 717 horsepower, and a smidge more torque at 656 pound feet. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, and an eight-speed automatic is an option.
